— The scoring slump continues.Auburn once again couldn’t score, counting only on a solo home run in the fourth inning, and lost its third straight game Friday night in a 6-1 loss to No. 24 Ole Miss at Plainsman Park.Preston Overbey hit a three-run home run over the green monster in the fourth, providing the Rebels the only lead it needed. Ole Miss (33-14,air jordan 12, 12-10 SEC) cruised from there behind starter Bobby Wahl (9-0, 1.21 ERA), who allowed one run on four hits. He also struck out five batters in eight innings.”Wahl did a great job,” Auburn coach John Pawlowski said. “He threw the ball extremely well but unfortunately we’ve got to find a way to manufacture some runs. We just weren’t able to do that tonight.”The Tigers (25-19, 7-15) have scored only 13 runs in the last eight games, a stretch that has also included a few defensive gaffes. Adding to the troubles Friday was a rarity in college baseball: a runner scoring from second base on a wild pitch. Will Jamison, whose RBI single gave Ole Miss a 5-1 lead, took advantage of Trey Cochran-Gill’s wild pitch, air jordan, running home from second as Auburn stood still defensively.”We’ve got to block it, catch it and go back there and get it,” Pawlowski said. “It’s a miscommunication.”Auburn leadoff hitter Ryan Tella’s hitless streak continued, too. The All-SEC player in 2012 has not had a hit in the last five games, going 0-for-20 during the two-week stretch. Auburn could change the top of the order before Game 2 of the series Saturday at 2:15 p.m., Pawlowski said.”These guys have to understand it can turn around quickly and I know they believe that,” Pawlowski said. “I just want to see our offense have some success and gain some confidence. Unfortunately, they haven’t had that in the last several games. Hopefully tomorrow will be a different game for them.”Auburn has failed to score three runs or more in 12 of its 22 SEC games. The Tigers had only five hits Friday night, contributing to its offensive slump that has included only one run in each of their last three games (all losses). Garrett Cooper’s homer to left — his seventh of the season — provided Auburn a response to Overbey’s homer on a 3-1 pitch in the fourth, air jordan retro 11. The Tigers left six players on base, going 1-for-12 with runners on base and 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position.Auburn entered Friday tied with Missouri for 11th place in the SEC.

The will have a brand new look this season-air jordan sneakers

The will have a brand new look this season.

Bruce Arians was hired as head coach, and the team’s backfield got an overhaul with quarterback Carson Palmer and running back Rashard Mendenhall.

And the man behind it all, Red Land High School graduate Steve Keim, was in his first year on the job. after 14 years in the organization. He was hired in 1999 as a scout, was named director of college scouting in 2006, director of personnel in 2008 and vice president of player personnel in 2012.

Keim became general manager when Rod Graves was fired after the 2012 season. Coach Ken Whisenhunt was also let go.

The Cardinals made a splash in free agency with the signing of Mendenhall and a trade for Palmer. Keim and company kept that momentum going in the , earning high praise for the deep level of talent he managed to accumulate.

Arizona addressed needs while sticking to its draft board, getting help up front in North Carolina guard Jonathan Cooper in the first round and filling a void in its defense with LSU linebacker Kevin Minter in the second.

But all the headlines will be focused on the Cardinals’ third-round pick, former LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu, whose off-the-field baggage was as prolific as his game.

Keim addressed the Mathieu pick and much, much more in ,air jordan sneakers. Keim offered insights on every one of his picks, including these thoughts on Mathieu:

“The on-field stuff we have no concerns about. Obviously, his versatility to play some safety, to play some corner, to play the nickel in the slot and to return punts [is appealing],air max 95, and his instincts are really unique, air max 2012. But sometimes when you find a guy who’s made mistakes like Tyrann and who has the type of passion he has for the game, he realizes this is his last chance and he’s on a short leash. He and his representative are open and willing to adhere to any mechanisms we put in the contract or things we ask for off the field, cheap air jordans, like random testing and that sort of that thing, so that we feel that’s an additional deterrent for him to go out and make mistakes.

“I’m not na ve,air jordan. There is that element of risk there. But we just felt really good about the kid’s personality, and he had a sincerity about him where he wants to do the right things.”

The Cardinals also found late-round bargains in Texas defensive end Alex Okafor in the fourth and Stanford running back Stepfan Taylor, among others.

In all, it was a masterful first draft for the rookie GM.

PHILADELPHIA A jury weighing murder and racketeering charges against a Philadelphia abortion provider dug in Friday to work on the capital murder counts-air max 95

PHILADELPHIA A jury weighing murder and racketeering charges against a Philadelphia abortion provider dug in Friday to work on the capital murder counts, but reached no verdict in the aging doctor’s death-penalty case.

, 72, ran a corner medical clinic in a run-down stretch of West Philadelphia for 30 years. According to trial testimony, the clinic deteriorated over the years, and women increasingly went to Gosnell for abortions closer to or perhaps beyond the state’s 24-week limit.

The jury asked for help Friday distinguishing among the four babies Gosnell allegedly killed or had killed after they were born alive. Staff members at Gosnell’s clinic have testified that they saw each one move, breathe or whine outside the mother’s body.

The jury also asked for a list of drugs found during an FBI clinic raid in 2010. The agents did not find the abortion drug Digoxin although Gosnell says he used it to stop the babies’ hearts in utero during late-term abortions.

The jury later asked about the legal definition of racketeering, one of more than 250 counts lodged against Gosnell and a codefendant. The deliberations began Tuesday afternoon and are scheduled to resume Monday, air max 95.

Former clinic workers have testified that Gosnell tried to end second-trimester pregnancies after a 2007 ban on partial-birth abortions by injecting Digoxen through the mother’s abdomen to stop the fetal heart. But it was a “hard target” to hit the heart, especially with Gosnell’s outdated ultrasound equipment, they said. So the babies often came out alive before Gosnell or others “snipped” them with scissors in the back of the neck, air jordan 12, to sever the spine, the witnesses said.

By then, some had shown signs of life, either breathing or moving or letting out a low whine, they said.

Gosnell sometimes did 20 to 25 abortions a night, but women spent the day at the clinic enduring labor and sometimes delivery, given his unorthodox technique. If they delivered before Gosnell arrived, unlicensed doctor Stephen Massof or untrained medical assistants had to “snip” the babies and monitor the highly sedated patients, the employees said.

The chaotic conditions allegedly contributed to the 2009 overdose death of Karnamaya Mongar, 41, of Woodbridge, Va. A mother of three, she had recently come to the U.S. after 20 years in a refugee camp, air jordan shoes. Gosnell is charged with third-degree murder in her death.

Massof said he felt like “a firemen in hell, air jordan,” given the high patient load.

“It would rain fetuses,” Massof testified last month. He has pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree murder in the infant deaths, but said he did many more. Three other workers have also pleaded guilty to murder.

Authorities called the clinic a “pill mill” for addicts by day and an all-cash “abortion mill” at night, cheap air jordan 12.

Gosnell is also charged with running a corrupt organization, along with conspiracy and about 250 abortion law violations, for allegedly performing third-term abortions or failing to counsel women 24 hours in advance.

Defense lawyer Jack McMahon insists there were no live births at the clinic, and says Gosnell performed a service, however unsavory, to desperate women and teens.

“This is a targeted, elitist and racist prosecution of a doctor who’s done nothing but give to the poor and the people of West Philadelphia,” McMahon said in closing arguments Monday.

Auburn coaches say SEC Network exposure will help recruiting on national stage (with video)

The network will produce 1,000 live events each year, including 450 televised on the network and 550 distributed digitally. (AP Photo/John Amis)ATLANTA — Auburn coach Gus Malzahncouldn’t help but be impressed as he and 31 other coaches watched the SEC announce the creation of its own television network Thursday in Atlanta.”The future is bright,” Malzahn said. “The SEC is already the SEC. The commissioner did a great job with ESPN and it’s going to be very exciting.”The network will launch in August 2014 and will include 1,000 events, including 450 on the network and 550 on digital platforms.Three coaches represented Auburn at the announcement at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Atlanta: Malzahn, women’s basketball coach Terri Williams-Flournoyand swimming coach Brett Hawke.Non-revenue sports will see increased exposure with the network, which plans to broadcast all tournament championship events, including women’s basketball.”For women s basketball, it s just going to be able to put a lot more games on TV,” said Williams-Flournoy, who led Auburn in March to the WNIT quarterfinals in her first season. “It s exciting for our fans to be able to see so many more basketball games. With women s basketball growing over the years, to be able to get us on TV even more for our fans to see, I think it s really exciting. The most notable advantage often repeated by coaches in attendance is visibility and how will help recruiting efforts nationally.”It does nothing but help, there’s no doubt about that, air jordan sneakers,” Malzahn said. “The fact that there’s more exposure nationally and most of the programs in the SEC right now recruit nationally but that will help even more.”Auburn won a national title in equestrian in April. In the future, that event (along with the SEC championship, which was held in Auburn this year) could be televised by the SEC Network.”To me, the Olympic sports are the kind of things that are just critical,” Auburn president Jay Goguesaid. “We had all of the kids that won the national championship last week in equestrian, so we had 40 girls, from Alaska to New England to California. This is anopportunityfor some of those events to be televised where fans and family members can actually see those. That’s important to us, obviously.”More notes from talking today to Auburn’s coaches in Atlanta:Malzahn has not yet voiced an opinion on the increasing chatter of the SEC discussing the possibility of moving to a nine-game conference schedule in the future for football. “To be honest with you right now I’m just focused on year by year,” he said. “We’ve got our hands full with next year and we’ll have discussions with the SEC commissioner and all that. Right now our focus is on next year.”Malzahn said he would be “surprised” if there is any attrition on his team following the spring semester, air jordan 12.Hawke on the SEC Network: “I m just hoping that it increases exposure for us,air jordan 11. Obviously with productions of SEC championships, and personal insights on some of the individual swimmers, cheap air jordans, I think it will be huge for recruiting and just exposure for our sport. To keep us in the mainstream media, that s always a good thing for us. Email:Twitter:Facebook:

–Restless Heart singer/guitarist Larry Stewart has first-hand-air jordan retro 11

–Restless Heart singer/guitarist Larry Stewart has first-hand
knowledge of the late country star George Jones’s singing prowess. About six years ago, Stewart sang backup
vocals for Jones on a couple tunes including the 1985 classic “Who’s Gonna
Fill Their Shoes” – at a charity show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
Jones died April 26 at the age of 81.
“I think he’s probably the most soulful singer I’ve ever
seen,” Stewart says. “He was just a very dear fellow, air jordan retro 11; very nice to everyone. He
was extremely nice to me and I’m sure he wasn’t a fan of Restless Heart music, air max 95,
because our music is contemporary and is traditional.” [Laughs.]
Restless Heart headlines WhistleStop Weekend’s May 3 music
lineup with a 9:15 p.m. at the CB S Stage. (Entire music schedule listed
below.) On a recent afternoon, Stewart calls for this interview from the “man
cave” of his Franklin, Tenn. Restless
Heart also features Dave Innis (keys, vocals), John Dittrich (drums, vocals),
Gregg Jennings (lead guitar, air jordan shoes, vocals) and Paul Gregg (bass, vocals).
Hit machine,air max 2012, pt. 1
Founded in 1984, Restless Heart has landed more than 25
singles on the charts and notched four gold-certified albums. I ask Stewart
which of the band’s six number one hits he’s enjoying singing the most these
days. “‘The Bluest Eyes in Texas’ is a lot of fun because the crowd sings it,
and they sing that one ‘Where did I go wrong’ line with us. Any time you have
songs that mean a lot to people, it’s pretty neat.”
New jamOn May 21, Restless Heart will release “Playlist: The Very
Best of Restless Heart.” The album opens with a previously unreleased song, “Memphis
Rain.” (There’s also another new track called “Home.”) “We had put some compilations
out before,” Stewart says, “and we thought it would be nice to start the CD out
with a brand new song that really encompasses the sound of Restless Heart.”
Hit Machine, pt. 2
Asked for the most treasured memories from his career, Stewart
recalls performing at the Grammys one year and “looking down in the looking
down in the front row and seeing Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson watching me
sing.” Another highlight is a bit unexpected unless you know Stewart was a
promising baseball player in his youth. “I got the opportunity to live out a dream
and do batting practice at Wrigley Field before a game, because a lot of the
Cubs back then Mark Grace, Rick Sutcliffe and (Greg) Maddux – had come to a
show and invited us out.”
Exit to return
Stewart parted ways with Restless Heart in 1993 to pursue a
solo career. He returned to the fold in 2002. “Truly, there’s no doubt to the
fact that it allowed us to be together today, 30 years later, air jordan,” he says. “It’s
tough. You’re living with five other guys more than you’re living with your own
family. It really worked out for us to kind of grow up a little bit. We’re
having more fun today than we ever had.”
You’ve got to have Faith
In the early-90s, Stewart co-wrote the tune “But I Will” on
Faith Hill’s multi-platinum debut LP “Take Me as I Am.” “But, lo and beyond
they released it as a single and it didn’t do very well, and I went, ‘Isn’t
that my luck to get a Faith Hill single and it didn’t do very well.’ That was a
bummer. But I got to sing a duet (“I’ve Got This Friend”) with her on
that album as well, and it was fun to watch her career explode.”

‘Splash’ maintains split personality; with Brandi Chastain out-air max 2013

‘Splash’ maintains split personality; with Brandi Chastain out, three-diver finale is set

In the next-to-last episode of “Splash,” four celebrities faced off for three spots in the show’s finale. From left: Drake Bell, Nicole Eggert, Brandi Chastain, Rory Bushfield. (ABC/Kelsey McNeal)
gallery (7 photos)
Had the late Dr. Henry Jekyll lived long enough to witness the reality show he would certainly have been tempted to experiment. He d have wondered if the show could be stripped of its cheesy side, leaving only a pure spectacle of beautiful people taking real risks blending art and athleticism.Jekyll probably would have ended up creating an even worse monster, because that was just his luck, and what that might mean in reality TV terms is terrifying to contemplate. But anyway, the next-to-last episode of the season proved decisively that good Splash can never escape so-bad-it s-kind-of-good-in-a-bad-way Splash. America, are we really so obsessed with celebrities that we make a TV show of them just diving into a pool sethharrison (@harrison23)
Who the hell thought that @ would be a good TV show?? ? Eric Lux (@ERICLUXRACING)
The stage was set. With the previous week s departure of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the show finally was down to four celebrities who d all shown genuine competitive skill. They were the last survivors of an initial cast of 10 that had included luminaries such as former Hugh Hefner girlfriend Kendra Wilkinson, Alabama beauty queen and plus-size comedian Louie Anderson. They d had their ups and downs, these four, but each was capable of earning high scores the hard way, not just relying on an emotional backstory to bring in pity points. The format was clear: One dive apiece, with highest scorer securing a spot in the finale and the other three going to a three-way dive off. It seemed so clean, so simple, so Dr. Jekyll. It could be all grace and skill and beauty. But Mr. Hyde showed up early. A mystery celebrity diver turned out to be skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, who skateboarded off the 10-meter platform, air max 2013. Sounds like a silly party trick. Looked like a silly party trick. Hawk s fans were pleased, but even for Splash it was a non sequitur.HE’S GOING TO SKATEBOARD OFF THE 33 FOOT PLATFORM. Richard Dunbeck (@Redunbeck)
Come on Tony that was weak sauce Mr. Allen œž (@AllenElijah)
The first celeb to dive was Nickelodeon actor and musician Drake Bell, who d had a rough time of it in practice, fouling up his inward one-and-a-half flip so badly that he got a black eye, a bloody nose and a concussion. It really felt like I hit cement, he said.He botched his dive, got a middling score and went into a sulk, taking a little dig at fellow competitor Rory Bushfield by saying that at least he didn t go in feet-first. (Bushfield has struggled to overcome a mental block against hitting the water headfirst, cheap air jordans; in his defense, his expertise is in extreme snow skiing, a sport where landing on your head can kill you.) The dig didn t sit well with viewers weighing in on Twitter..@ is on JUST so I can see @ in a speedo, right, air max 2012? Cody Andrus (@candrus68)
He did an inward, I dunno, half instead of a 1-1/2. And he landed practically back first. Just awful. Richard Dunbeck (@Redunbeck)
Drake Bell is a punk for making that statement about Rory. Then he got scared and complimented him. Mike Ryan (@Coach_Mike11)
Whewwww…Drake Bell just made watching verrrrrry awkward!! Candice Butchino (@CandiceButchino)
Next up was former Baywatch star Nicole Eggert, who nailed her front one-and-a-half and got a solid average score of 7.25 from judges David Boudia and Steve Foley. Foley did his own Jekyll-and-Hyde comparison at this point, saying Eggert was the nice, timid mom who turned into a calculating monster at key moments in the competition.@ Nicole Eggert nailed that dive! She is a super hero, air jordan 12! Natalie Donovan (@PersoNatalie76)
Soccer star Brandi Chastain followed, attempting a wickedly difficult back one-and-a-half flip with a half twist. She didn t quite pull it off. In fact, both judges observed that if they really went by the rules of pro diving, she technically didn t complete the dive and would have gotten zeroes. They doled out a few sympathy points, but it was clear she was going to the dive-off.Brandi’s turn. I know she’ll be brilliant and OH MY GOD I LOVE THAT OUTFIT. Queen of Victory (@VictoryQueen6)
Not liking this Tony the Tiger outfit this lady has on Nics (@PickyNikkie)
@ Brandi Chastain’sDive Ouch! Even the audience were saying Ooooooooooooh!!!! Priscilla(@pfumero627)
Oh man that was totally worth watching. Heather Mitts (@heathermitts)
For Bushfield, there was some rigamarole about how difficult it would be for him to pull off a triple backflip from the 10-meter platform. Then he made it look as if does a back triple rolling out of bed every morning. (Though coach Greg Louganis, looking on from the sidelines, heaved a huge sigh of relief.) Bushfield had vaulted ahead of Eggert to secure a spot in the finale.Rory Bushfield is officially my new favorite skier. From a snowboarder to a skier, you’re a bad***. Mad respect @ Nicholas Schroeder (@Schroeder91)
And now,air jordan 13, unfortunately, it was Hyde time. Earlier in the season, Chuy Bravo, an actor and cable talk show sidekick, had been forced out of the competition by a minor injury. Chastain had been brought in as his substitute. Now Bravo returned for a comedy segment in which he attempted to make a place for himself as Louganis assistant. It didn t seem particularly spontaneous, but it also didn t impress as something very well scripted. The best bit? After a Chastain dive, Bravo whipped off his shirt and twirled it overhead while sporting a man-sized sports bra. () Oh, now that s original, snorted Chastain, witnessing yet another parody of her signature moment in the 1999 Women s World Cup final.Chuy ripping his shirt off and pulling a @ may have been best moment of @ Katie Swanson (@kat_swanson)
Hyde sated, the show returned to competition for a brisk dive-off. Three decent dives followed. Bell s handstand from the 10-meter was the most impressive, though some viewers quibbled that he was repeating a dive he d already done.Oh!!! @ ‘s last dive made my heart stop! Candice Baker (@xCandyxCyanidex)
and his famous one and only dive! Luke Werner (@WernerLuke)
Rather than handing out scores and giving the studio audience a chance to weigh in as usual, the two judges each picked one competitor to continue. Boudia went with Bell. Foley chose Eggert. And so Chastain, brought in as a sub, was benched. But at least she was a good sport about it.SO SAD TO SEE BRANDI GO!You are so optomistic and amazing! Ashley Scharpf (@AshleyScharpf)
@ I’m legit in tears. Ill miss u baby! @ JaclynS718 (@Celtics82js)
Next week, finally, we ll see who gets to wear the Splash celebrity diving crown. And yes, there is an actual crown. We got to see it at the end of the episode, when Louganis and Bravo toured it around the pool on a little bitty boat powered by a trolling motor.Because, you know, it was Hyde s turn again.Seriously though, how is this even a real show? Ashley (@ashleydoc)
